You can see some of my framerates there. I’m pushing it at 1900×1200 with high settings and getting very strong framerates. The world looks amazing and if you see something you can get there. That big city for example, if you want to land on a roof and have a picnic you can. You can walk up and down every street and go in every door. You can get from that rooftop to the raid dungeon Ancient Port Warehouse without every zoning or staring at a loading screen. Some of the dungeons we go to are just holes in the ground - huge underground areas that are seamless with the outside world. That’s pretty neat. You have boats, flying mounts, racial mounts, diplomacy and crafting, housing in the world (not instanced), guild halls and no zoning. All of these things are pretty cool.
The main issue is population, especially on the PVP server. The two US PVE servers Seradon and Xeth have solid populations with Seradon having the larger of the two. The lower levels are not jammed packed population wise really but once you get to 18 or so you start having lots of things to do and see. They have made the game a lot better performance wise and it’s just more fun than it was upon release. Leveling speed is better, death penalties while still there aren’t quite so harsh, they have brotherhoods and all kinds of interesting dynamics. The flying mounts are amazing and the game play style is fun to me. I think when that trial island comes out the population will increase even more as people can download a free level 1-12 or whatever content area in 30 minutes and take a test drive. With new character models and the optimized content I think people will sub up again.
I can tell you the devs I met in Vegas are very dedicated to this game and I’m having a blast. Too bad you can’t mentor in VG or I’d come back and help you guys get through the lower levels. Hopefully, I’ll see you with the trial island but I know at the moment everyone is jacked about Warhammer. Totally different games - who knows.

New Topic Mutha: Vanguard Picture Thread
So I’ve been playing a new character in Vanguard recently. I rolled up a Paladin on the Seradon server and am closing in on 23. I joined a guild called Safe Haven that is fairly large and lots of fun. We do lots of guild quest runs and dungeon crawls and it’s giving me that old school EQ feeling - in a more open beautiful world without a lot of the frustrations from EQ. For those of you wondering, the performance has improved drastically. Anyways, soon GU6 is coming which will introduce new character models and a 900 mb free trial island download. I hope to see some of you in Telon. Here are some pics of my journeys to date (the first few were from a Psionicist I rolled up before I created the Paladin.

I got on Tues night to get the Rush album and ended up logging off very bitter. Coworker mentioned he checked the messageboards and they gave us the “weeks” excuse for tech reasons. I still say that it was something with licensing.
